Here Comes The 2017-2018 Ski Season!
Another exciting ski year is just around the corner and we at Friends of Leo J. Martin Skiing (FOLJMS) can’t wait! The DCR is busy preparing the facility for another great season of skiing, as is Charles River Recreation which will continue to provide grooming and snowmaking operations in 2017-18.
Friends of Leo J. Martin Skiing also are busy. Sunday, November 12 saw many Friends at the Leo J. Martin, showing their support and appreciation for our wonderful ski facility by taking up rakes, gloves, and tarps to clear the course of leaves. Under the leadership of Jim Ellis, dozens of students worked hard to help transition the golf course into our beloved ski facility. Thank you volunteers!
But lest you missed the event, don’t worry–we would love to see you at the Leo J. Martin on December 10 for the FOLJMS 4th Annual Open House.
